For Royal Ascot 2009, Margaret was commisioned to create a hat for Jade Taylor. The young lady from Uppermill, was quoted as saying "I am mad on marshmallows, I eat them every day. When I was thinking about what hat to wear this Ladies Day I really wanted something which was unique to me - so I thought a marshmallow hat would be just the ticket."

The hat was painstakingly constructed from over 800 traditionally made pink and white marshmallows, which were supplied by Tangerine Confectionary, and it certainly gained a large response from the assembled press and media.
